Retell was shipping fast and the design system hadn't kept up. The engineering was ahead of how the product looked, and at $30M+ ARR the gap was starting to show in front of customers.

We rebuilt the design system end to end, improved the patterns and features customers already used, and designed entirely new features alongside it. Not a reskin of what was there: the work covered what the product already did and what it needed to do next, done inside their workflow while the team kept shipping around it.

The result is a system their engineers ship with daily, sharper versions of the flows customers relied on, and new features that went out on the rebuilt foundations. The co-founder's words: an exceptional eye, quick iteration, consistently polished work.

Design stopped being the bottleneck for what existed or what came next. Retell went on to build design in-house on top of the foundations, which is the handover we design for.
