What kind of companies do you work with?

We work primarily with AI startups, from pre-seed founders designing their first product through to Series B companies scaling their design operations. We've also worked across Web3, health tech, and fintech. If you're building something complex and need design that makes it simple, we're probably a good fit.

  • 2

    Do you do development?

We build functional prototypes to validate UX flows and test ideas quickly, but we leave production development to your engineering team to make sure it's done securely and robustly. We deliver high-fidelity designs and design systems that are ready for your developers to build from, and we're happy to work closely with them during implementation to make sure what ships matches what was designed.

  • 3

    How much does it cost?

It depends on the scope and engagement model. Our Sprint engagements are fixed-scope and fixed-price. Ongoing partnerships are monthly retainers. We don't publish pricing because every project is different, but we're transparent in our discovery calls and will give you a clear proposal before any commitment.

  • 4

How long does a typical project take?

Our Sprints run for about 6 weeks from kickoff to final delivery. Ongoing partnerships are month-to-month, with most clients working with us for 3 to 12 months. Brand and web projects typically run 4 to 8 weeks depending on complexity.

  • 5

How is Halaska Studio different from other design agencies?

Three things. First, we specialize in AI products, so we understand the unique design challenges that come with unpredictable outputs, trust, and new interaction patterns. Second, our founder's background at Google means we bring product thinking at a level most agencies can't. Third, we're small by design. You work directly with senior designers, not a revolving door of junior staff.

  • 6

What does "design the right thing, the right way" mean?

It means we care as much about what gets built as how it looks. Before we design any screens, we work with you to make sure the product strategy, user needs, and business goals are aligned. Then we design with craft, precision, and attention to detail. It's about getting both the strategy and the execution right.

  • 7

Can you help with investor materials?

Yes. We've designed pitch decks, product demos, and interactive prototypes that have helped our clients raise millions. If you're preparing for a fundraise, we can make sure your product story is clear, compelling, and backed by design that shows investors you're serious.

  • 8

What's the best way to get started?

Book a call with Chris. We'll talk through what you're building, where you are, and what you need. From there, we'll recommend the right engagement model and put together a clear proposal. No pressure, no sales pitch, just an honest conversation about whether we're the right fit.
