The why

Robbie Ferguson

I spent 6 years at Google designing products including Google Photos for over a billion users.

Most startups can't access this level of talent
early stage when they need it most.

I left to fix that with world-class design execution
in a model built for founders.

  • 1

How is this different from hiring a freelancer or a typical agency?

You get a senior, studio-level team that runs itself, not a solo operator you have to manage. We bring consistent quality, a proven process, and product thinking across UX, UI, and strategy, plus the ability to operate inside real team constraints. We operate as an extension of your team, without the overhead of hiring.

  • 2

Who will actually work on our project (and is the work offshored)?

Work is done by a small, hand-picked team that works directly with me, Chris Halaska. We do not run an anonymous production line or quietly hand work off to random third parties. You'll know who your lead designer is, and you will see the work evolve in your Figma file.

  • 3

How do you communicate and keep things moving?

Slack and Figma comments are the default, with a clear rhythm of updates and fast feedback loops. You get consistent comms, and we will jump on a call when it is genuinely the quickest way to unblock decisions. The goal is fewer meetings, more progress.

  • 4

What happens if our priorities or scope changes mid-stream?

That's expected. The ongoing monthly model is designed for shifting priorities, so we re-triage and keep momentum without needing a big re-plan every time. For bigger pivots (new product direction, major new surface area), we will recommend increasing capacity or running a focused sprint.

  • 5

Can you collaborate with our in-house team or developers?

Yes. We regularly work alongside internal design, product, and engineering teams. We can plug into your workflow, share designs in Figma, and coordinate handoff details with your developers so shipping stays smooth.

  • 6

What if we do not have enough design work every month?

We can flex to research, UX audits, design system cleanup, onboarding flows, conversion improvements, or backlog polishing. If you truly do not need ongoing support, you can pause or cancel, and we will help package work up cleanly so your team is not left with loose ends.

  • 7

Do we own everything you design, and can we sign an NDA?

You own all deliverables once paid, and we can absolutely sign an NDA or confidentiality agreement. We can build in your Figma, keep files organized, and make handoff straightforward so your team can continue with confidence.

  • 8

Can you work with multiple stakeholders and approvals?

Yes. We keep decisions moving with clear checkpoints, async reviews in Figma, and focused calls only when needed to unblock progress.
