Ulys set out to make cryptocurrency investing as simple as sending a text. The founding team, with backgrounds at Google and Coinbase, needed a product design partner who could take a complex DeFi experience and make it feel effortless from the first tap. The challenge was building a full mobile app from scratch, across iOS and Android, that handled funding, trading, storage, and AI-powered insights without overwhelming new users.

Working directly with the founders, head of product, and engineering team over twelve months, we designed the complete product experience from inception to launch. That meant defining the core UX architecture, creating detailed flows for onboarding, trading, portfolio management, and non-custodial wallet setup, all delivered in both light and dark mode. Every screen was designed to strip away the complexity that keeps most people out of crypto: no gas fees, no seed phrase anxiety, no chain switching.

The result is a product that treats simplicity as a feature, not a compromise. Ulys launched on the App Store with a clear, confident experience that bridges the gap between DeFi power and mainstream usability. Proof that crypto products don't have to look or feel like crypto products to work.
