How I hit 180K in recurring monthly revenue in just 2 months

Trust is earned and can just as easily be taken away.

I had a competitive advantage when starting Halaska Studio as I'd had a full career working at the best companies in their respective industries.

Google, Immutable, Infinex, Commonwealth Bank, Ogilvy and more, all at the top of their game.

This got clients to the door, but that wasn't enough.

In every intro call I try to understand what the client needs, not just what I can offer. The conversation here usually touches on specific experiences I could call on to re-assure that I can handle the challenges.

This coupled with just being a nice person and genuinely excited to work with them would result in them signing up.

This still isn't enough.

Once you've earned their trust, you need to keep it.

I got burnt numerous times by contractors who had given a false sense of ability, resulting in the work being lower than my high-standard which would give the clients a bad taste.

In these situations I would personally jump back on the tools to make it up to them, making sure that the next designer I assigned was one that I could trust, even if it meant less profit margin at the end of the day.

It would have been easy for them so say goodbye, but instead they stuck with me because they trusted in my ability.

It's now been 5 months since officially starting my studio, in that time we've finalised work for 8 clients and have around another 5 in progress and another 2 kicking off.

Trust is the glue that will always be with me, the steel thread through all my work, process, collaboration and communication.

I'm so excited to see where this studio goes and am so grateful that I'm able to live my life-long career dream 🚀
